Artist United for change

Artists United for Change is a branch of visual artists, instrumentalists, singers, dancers, composers, and performers who share our love for their arts to our community. Currently, we focus on playing music for patients at hospitals and seniors at nursing homes to provide them with live music and joy. Before the coronavirus pandemic, we played over fifty hours of music as an ensemble.

In the Summer of 2021, Artists United for Change hosted its first Arts Competition, open to students in grades K-12th. The competition asked students to respond to the theme of returning to normal from the COVID-19 pandemic. Personal narrative and visual art submissions were accepted. Our mentors helped artists through their creative process during Saturday evening mentoring sessions. AUC also hosted a webinar with New York Times-best selling author Lynda Mullaly Hunt on her creative process. Prize-winners will be announced soon!
